Sayyad Boodhun is the Managing Partner of GEO Lawyers and a Barrister-at-Law admitted to practise in Mauritius since 2009. He advises local and international clients on employment law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and complex workplace investigations.
Before founding GEO Lawyers, Sayyad served for over a decade as Director of Legal Services at Accenture, with responsibility for Mauritius, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt. In this role, he advised senior leadership on strategic legal matters across multiple jurisdictions and oversaw legal operations supporting a workforce of more than 4,000 employees in Mauritius alone. His work included managing complex disciplinary processes, employment disputes, corporate investigations and sensitive internal matters, while coordinating closely with HR, compliance and senior business stakeholders.
Sayyad regularly assists companies with complex employment law issues, including disciplinary proceedings, internal investigations, restructuring exercises and senior executive matters. In addition, Sayyad advises on corporate governance and transactional matters. He has supported corporate strategy and Ventures & Acquisition teams on acquisitions and takeovers, assisting organisations in identifying and managing legal and regulatory risks in complex transactions. His experience as a director across multiple jurisdictions has also provided him with deep insight into corporate governance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Sayyad is an International Accredited Professional Mediator with the International Dispute Resolution and Risk Management Institute of Hong Kong and regularly applies mediation and structured negotiation techniques in complex disputes.
Alongside his legal practice, Sayyad has been actively involved in legal education and professional training. He has lectured in law at university level and regularly delivers training on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) and corporate compliance.

Over the span of two decades, Elsie has cultivated a comprehensive international background, both as in-house legal counsel and external advisor. Her journey includes serving a global technology and outsourcing organization and a pan-African law firm headquartered in Mauritius.
Her expertise lies in amalgamations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital markets. Elsie's portfolio encompasses takeovers, securities transactions, shareholder agreements, schemes of arrangement, private placements, SEM listing (Official List and Secondary Market), rights offerings, underwriting, as well as crafting and negotiating shareholder agreements, sale of assets/shares agreements, and joint venture agreements. She's offered counsel to both listed and unlisted corporate clients in the local arena, managing corporate matters and leading due diligence investigations into Mauritian corporations.
Elsie's career spans various jurisdictions, including Madagascar, France, England, and Mauritius. She's adept at advising on business, corporate, investment, property, banking, and technology law matters, playing a pivotal role in diverse global-scale commercial and corporate transactions. Elsie excels in legal process outsourcing, contract management, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and risk management.
Throughout her professional journey, Elsie has overseen teams of over 25 lawyers, crafting training initiatives on business continuity, data protection, and M&A for both business and legal units. She's also orchestrated orientation programs for newcomers, focusing on culture, values, ethics, and compliance.
Since 2016, she's served as a lecturer for the M&A Workshop at LLM International Business Law Sorbonne-Assas International Law School Limited Mauritius (Pierrefonds, Mauritius).
Furthermore, Elsie is the founder of DS Privacy Consulting Ltd and holds GDPR certified Data Protection Officer (DPO) credentials accredited by the French Authority (CNIL) through CESI.

Thierry's rich business experience includes contract negotiations, real estate development, and company transactions during his tenure at Guy Ollivry, Q.C in Mauritius. He honed his expertise through training with the Corporate Intelligence Group (formerly the consulting branch of The Economist Intelligence Unit) in the UK and SOCOJUR, a law firm in France, advising a global French hypermarket.
Proficient in collaborating with legal and financial experts, Thierry has driven diverse business ventures from property to industrial projects in Mauritius and in Africa. He excels in merger and acquisition strategies. He pursued an entrepreneurial path in Mauritius, encompassing real estate, insurance, and industry, which culminated in retirement. This phase equipped him with skills in cross-functional management, evident in his collaborations with executives to establish business frameworks.
Thierry's geopolitical acumen led to his publication on Chagos territory's strategic, diplomatic, and humanitarian aspects, notably related to Diego Garcia. He established a global network driven by his passion for environmental concerns, particularly marine biodiversity. He engaged in marine projects and advised international marine scientists in environmental matters and projects.
He chaired Business Mauritius' SIG Lagoon Committee and serves on Reef Conservation Society Mauritius' Board. Specializing in sustainability matters, social and environmental performance, and particularly in coral reef protection, climate change and ESG regulations, he is a strategic partner at Dynamia Associates and Developers Ltd, a B Corp certified consulting firm.
Thierry's expertise extends to commercial arbitration and mediation, honed through ICC training. He authored theses on UNCITRAL model laws for commercial arbitration (1984) and mediation (2021). Thierry Ollivry is a fellow member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIOD).

Mujaddid is an Associate at GEO Lawyers and a Barrister-at-Law admitted to practise in Mauritius. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales at Lincoln’s Inn in 2019 and sworn in as a law practitioner of the Republic of Mauritius in 2021.
Mujaddid’s practice combines litigation support and corporate advisory work. He assists clients on employment law matters, governance and disciplinary procedures, legal research and complex document review. He regularly contributes to the preparation of legal opinions, briefing notes and court materials, and supports the firm’s partners in contentious and advisory matters.
Before joining GEO Lawyers, Mujaddid practised independently at the Mauritian Bar where he represented both individuals and corporate clients in civil, criminal and employment matters before the Supreme Court, Intermediate Court and Industrial Court. His experience includes drafting pleadings, legal opinions and assisting clients during settlement discussions.
During his pupillage, Mujaddid trained under several leading practitioners, including Senior Counsels and a Senior Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions. This experience provided him with strong exposure to courtroom practice, litigation strategy and case preparation across a wide range of matters.
Mujaddid is also an accredited civil and commercial mediator and holds additional qualifications in accounting and business, complementing his legal advisory work.

Marine is a Junior Associate within the Alternative Legal Services team at GEO Lawyers, where she supports the firm’s technology contracting and data protection practice. Her work focuses on the review and analysis of SaaS and technology agreements, as well as legal research relating to digital regulation and international commercial frameworks.
Marine regularly assists with the review of commercial technology contracts and supports the firm’s work on cross-border SaaS transactions involving international clients. She contributes to contract analysis, legal research and the preparation of documentation relating to data protection, digital services and evolving technology regulation.
She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law from Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas. Her academic training included intellectual property law, arbitration and private international law, providing a strong foundation for work involving cross-border commercial transactions and technology-driven legal frameworks.
Before joining GEO Lawyers, Marine completed several internships with senior practitioners in Mauritius, where she gained exposure to litigation practice and legal research. These experiences helped develop her analytical skills and her ability to assist in the preparation of legal materials and case documentation.
